Opening of Longi’s Solar representative office in Lahore – Pakistan to facilitate market
On November 12, 2023, the Distributed Middle East-Africa Regional Office-Central Asia Representative Office celebrated its grand reopening in Lahore, Pakistan. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place in the presence of local government officials, industry association leaders, strategic clients, and customer representatives.
Mr. Ali Majid, the Regional Sales Director for the Distributed Middle East-Africa Regional Office-Central Asia Representative Office in Pakistan, Mr. Tian Wentao, the Director of the Product Solutions Department at the Distributed Middle East-Africa Regional Office, and Mr. Mustafa Sulangi, the Minister of Information and Communication in Pakistan, delivered speeches respectively.
The establishment of the representative office will create more employment opportunities in Pakistan, promote local economic development, and provide greater possibilities for the renewable energy industry. Simultaneously, Longi will continue its dedication to providing local customers with higher quality and more innovative solutions at this new starting point, transforming the beautiful vision of renewable energy into tangible results.
He said currently the country produced 58.8 per cent of its electricity through expensive and unaffordable means such as coal and fuel that not only impacted the environment adversely but also economy, trade and people.
The minister said the previous government approved 10,000 megawatts solar energy projects and efforts were underway to materialize them. However, the next elected government and parliament should also continue the same policy for betterment of the country.
He congratulate the LONGi Solar for achieving the milestone and expressed his gratitude for China that had been supporting Pakistan’s initiatives for energy production through renewable energy resources.
