White Paper: Gallium-doped monocrystalline silicon fully solves the problem of PERC module’s LID (Episode 2)

 

In April 2020, LONGi issued a white paper on galliumdoped monocrystalline: White Paper: Galliumdope monocrystalline silicon fully solves the problem of a PERC module’s LID. The white paper
summarizes the LID mechanism of PERC cells, and points out that the LID and LeTID problems can be
effectively solved by using gallium-doped monocrystalline silicon wafers in combination with
cell process control, without the need for regeneration (light injection or electrical injection)
treatment. Compared with boron-doped silicon wafer, the gallium-doped silicon wafer can improve the
efficiency of PERC cells to some extent.
